Good Condition. Some time toning to outer margins. One small area of slight discolouration bottom left margin. Image surface excellent apart from one very slight occasion of foxing (about half a mm.) lower right hand.

Richard Samuel Chattock, Landscape etcher and painter was born in Solihull, England in 1825. Chattock, who exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy was highly recognised for his original etchings and was a full member of the Royal Engravers. He was also the author of ‘Practical Notes on Etching’, first published in 1883.
